Added: 12.12.2014 7:11 | 2 views | 0 comments

VRFocus - Despite taking less than a year, its felt like a long journey for virtual reality (VR) compatible sci-fi racer Radial-G to get to its Steam Early Access release. The title, developed by indie team Tammeka Games, fell short of crowd-funding on a Kickstarter campaign earlier in 2014, but announced a triumphant return with funding shortly thereafter. Now, after all of these ups and downs, Radial-G is finally available in pre-release form on PC, armed with full support for the Oculus Rift VR head-mounted display (HMD). It can be purchased for £9.99 GBP.

VRFocus - Earlier in 2014 indie developer Justin Moravetz ran a Kickstarter crowd-funding campaign for upcoming virtual reality (VR) compatible videogame Vanguard V. Evolved - Attack of the Drones Launched for Oculus Rift

Added: 06.12.2014 11:11 | 2 views | 0 comments

VRFocus - For all of the horror and adventure videogames to grace the Oculus Rift virtual reality (VR) head-mounted display (HMD) so far in its short life, there havent been many first-person shooter (FPS) experiences. Theres good reason for this, as creating an immersive experience in which the player feels like they are holding a weapon and can react quickly without suffering from simulator sickness is challenging to say the least. Despite this indie developer VRventure has recently launched its own VR FPS tech demo in Evolved Attack of the Drones.

'Best with the Rift' Adventure Title Plugged Launches Steam Greenlight Campaign

Added: 06.12.2014 9:11 | 4 views | 0 comments

VRFocus - At this early stage in the virtual reality (VR) industry, few developers are willing to create videogames from the ground up with the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD), let alone claim that their title is 'Best with the Rift'. But indie team Endtimes Studio has done just that this week as it launches a Steam Greenlight campaign for Plugged, a new VR compatible adventure experience. The campaign hopes to secure enough positive votes so that Plugged can be sold on the official Steam store come full release.

VRFocus - When it comes to flight simulators, virtual reality (VR) fans are currently spoilt for choice. If players arent exploring the depths of space in Elite: Dangerous then theyre probably sifting through one of the many cockpit experiences found on the Oculus VR Share Beta. One flight simulator that perhaps doesnt get enough mentions for its ongoing VR support is War Thunder from Gaijin Entertainment. The developer has been a strong supporter of the Oculus Rift head-mounted display (HMD) since its early days and remains committed to VR integration for this free-to-play PlayStation 4 and PC title.
